It was only a few hours back that she saw him leave for work…
And now it’s all over. Mike left without telling her a good
bye.
Her world stood still midst the cacophony of the hospital…
Only if he had not gone out today he could have escaped the
shooting at the school.

Such A good word. I remember specifically learning that word when I was about 12 years old, 65 years ago! I thought it was a good descriptive word. It has a nice sound to it as opposed to its meaning. It is certainly a good description of hospitals where the noise is full of buzzes, beeps and doors banging.
