“You can open your
eyes Jenko”
“No… no… I will fall”
“You won’t fall”
“I can feel it… why
did you bring me here? I want to go home, mommy”
“Jenko… open your eyes…
you won’t fall… trust me… mommy is here”
“See you are here…
next to mommy… and your sitting all secured here”
“I will not fall
right?”
“Absolutely not. Now
look there can you see what’s there outside?”
“No… I don’t want to
look there… but…what are these??? Mommy are those tiny little houses for tiny
little men?”
Rona smiled, Jenko’s first flight was becoming smooth
gradually.

Dear Tina,
ReplyDeleteNice story of a first flight.
Shalom,
Rochelle
Thanks Rochelle
DeleteDear Tina, Cute story and reminds me of one of my sons' first flights. He was scared - and I was probably more scared, but had to put a brave face on for his sake. Off to the right of the plane, there was a tornado on the ground in St. Louis, Missouri, USA, and the plane was tossing back and forth and I told Steven, "Whew this is fun!" So, he thought it was too. Love your story of Jenko's first flight. Great job! Nan :)
ReplyDeletethanks Nan. I remember my mother telling me i howled like crazy on my firs flight - but i was some months old, that's the saving grace.
DeleteAaa that was a sweet story... I'm still scared of flying but I try to not let my mind think...

DeleteAwww I love that. I remember seeing little houses on my first flight. It was a round trip in a little Cessna.
ReplyDeleteHey this is a beautiful story ,
ReplyDeleteThis is my first time at your blog and its really a template to start with.,
Jenko's anxiety is well understood and his affectionate mom is pacifying him. A lovely story of a mother-son relationship.
ReplyDeleteWell done. Actually, that wasn't a child on the plane--that was me. Lucy
